What Is an Electric Act?
An electric act is a musician or group performing on amplified electric instruments, often alongside backing tracks or a live DJ.
For string players in particular, it takes an instrument traditionally associated with classical music and gives it an entirely different feel. Electric violins and strings can work with house, pop, dance and club tracks, creating a much bigger and more contemporary sound.
They are also visually engaging. Wireless instruments allow some performers to move around the room and amongst guests rather than remaining in one fixed position, making the music part of the wider experience.
Electric acts work particularly well for corporate events, product launches, private parties and evening wedding receptions. They can help bridge the gap between live music and a DJ, or provide a high-impact performance at a particular moment during the event.

Vibre Strings
Vibre Strings are a collective of international string players specialising in electronic music and live performances alongside DJs.
Their musicians have performed with artists including Kygo, Florence + The Machine, Duran Duran, Take That and The Script, with performances taking them everywhere from Wembley Arena and the Royal Albert Hall to Glastonbury, Ibiza Rocks and Dubai’s Palm Island.
Wireless and able to roam amongst guests, Vibre Strings create bespoke string arrangements and DJ mixes spanning pop, house and melodic techno through to drum and bass and rock. They are a brilliant choice when you want strings to feel thoroughly contemporary and create a real moment within an event.
Stereo Twins
There is something immediately striking about seeing identical twins performing violin together, and Stereo Twins bring both the visual impact and musical energy needed for a memorable event.
Having performed around the world at parties, launches and events, they are particularly well suited to occasions where entertainment is an important part of the experience rather than simply providing background music.
For a product launch, corporate celebration or private party where you want guests to stop, watch and remember the performance afterwards, they are an excellent option.

Violinist Colette
Colette is an electric violinist with extensive international experience, having performed everywhere from Australia, Hong Kong and Taiwan to Switzerland and Serbia.
Performing on a wireless LED light-up violin, her repertoire moves from Café del Mar-style Ibiza chill-out music through to house and pop club tracks. She can perform solo or improvise live alongside a DJ, making her particularly adaptable as the atmosphere of an event changes.
Colette has performed at corporate functions, weddings, private parties and club nights, as well as working with major brands including Porsche, Maserati and Aston Martin. She is an excellent choice for creating that transition from sophisticated drinks into a much more energetic evening.
Violinist Emma
Emma offers electric and acoustic violin performances spanning pop, classical and lounge-style music, either to backing tracks or alongside a DJ.
A highly experienced session musician, she has performed at events including London Fashion Week and the Wimbledon Ball, as well as appearing alongside major artists and at some of the UK’s largest live events.
Her ability to improvise with DJs makes her particularly well suited to events where you want the flexibility of a DJ-led soundtrack but with an additional live element. It is a simple way of elevating the entertainment without needing to introduce an entirely separate band or ensemble.
Stringfever
For something a little different, Stringfever combines exceptional musicianship with comedy and entertainment.
Made up of three brothers and a cousin, the internationally acclaimed electric string quartet has performed more than 1,000 shows across 33 countries, including private performances for the British Royal Family and at Madison Square Garden.
They are particularly well suited to corporate parties, private celebrations and awards evenings where guests are gathered together and ready to be entertained.
